Excellent!

Excellent item. It doesn’t interfere with other transmitters while close to other runners and does give a good measurement of heart rate.
Works like a charm!

I agree that this unit, the one with a replaceable battery, is the only way to go. This transmitter unit works just as I wanted it to with my receiver. It seems like it is made well, and of quality materials. Only time will tell, but I have used it frequently since I got it about a month ago, and I am very pleased.
I got the Medium-XXLarge size, and it fits me well. But I’m a guy 5 foot 8 and 180 pounds. So I’m not skinny, and I’m not fat. I’m kind of medium build. And the belt doesn’t have much more adjustment available to get larger. So if you are large, you might want to see if there is a larger size available.
Get a New One if your old one is not working properly

I have had a polar cycle computer S720i for 2.5 years and now the wearlink has gotten old and rarely transmits to the computer. So I sent it into a Polar authorized repair shop and they charged me a lot of money and it helped for a few months, but then it went back to only working when dunking in water and then only occationally. So I replaced the battery and still no better, then I was going to do a big ride and wanted to make sure that I captured all of my stats, so I decided to get this new one. Wow, what a difference. I just lick it a little and it works great and syncs with my cycle computer watch instantly, unlike my old one which took 30 seconds to connect if it ever did.
What I am trying to say is that these basically last about 2 – 2.5 years and then just buy another one of these and you will be happy. But make sure that you clean it regularly as instructed in the manual.
Constant problems.

My wife and I both bought Polar FT60 heart rate monitors in 2009. We like the FT60 watch unit, but the Wearlink transmitters have caused us so many problems that we went back to using the T31 transmitters from our old Polar heart rate monitors. I’ve replaced the batteries several times and even after that I have constant problems receiving the heart rate. The T31 transmitters are much more reliable and we finally threw away our Wearlinks. If you need a replacement transmitter, I highly recommend buying the older style T31 tranmitter.

I wanted to do some conditioning training, but didn’t need the watch/receiver since the treadmill at my gym receives signal from HR monitors. This unit is great, comfortable to wear (actually, I don’t know I have it on) and it’s far more accurate than the grip HR monitor built into the treadmill. I can reach and maintain my target HR with ease. In fact, when I do decide to do some actual roadwork, I’ll pick up the watch/receiver from Polar.
